Albrecht Sonntag – Laurent Thieule – Marc Tarabella
At first sight, the very heart of the European Parliament in Brussels, right next to the MEP’s pidgeon holes, seems to be a curious spot for an interview. It is, however, the usual venue for the ‘Sport Corner’, a regular programme that was launched in 2013 by the Sport and Citizenship think-tank and usually brings together a representative of civil society and an MEP in a 20-minute talk on sport-related issues.
Sport Corner no. 6 was filmed in February. Led by Laurent Thieule, Communications Director of the Committee of the Regions, it focused on the research of the FREE project in a discussion between Albrecht Sonntag and Marc Tarabella, a Belgian member of the European Parliament from the Party of European Socialists, who is an active member of the parliament’s intersports group.
