We are pleased to announce the call for papers for the special session on “Artificial Intelligence in Inventory Research” as part of the 22nd International Symposium on Inventories, organised by the International Society for Inventory Research (ISIR), to be held at the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel in Budapest, Hungary, from 19 to 23 August 2024.

This special session, organised by Francesco Stranieri (Polytechnic of Turin), Fabio Stella (University of Milano-Bicocca) and Chaaben Kouki (ESSCA School of Management), aims to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in inventory research.
It will highlight the convergence of operations research, management science and AI, focusing on innovative algorithms tailored for complex inventory scenarios. The session will also address the broader implications, including technical advancements and ethical considerations, of applying AI to inventory management.
